It's real carbon fiber, I actually bought this one for $70 and then I thought it was lost in the mail, so I bought the Ford Genuine shift knob for $130. There is definitely a difference in quality but it is real carbon fiber. Its a direct fit. The Pic of the Knob in my car is the Ford Genuine one just so you can compare.

just FYI , the Ford Genuine ST / CF knob is also made in China.

Lol that was kinda a joke because is a knock off from the Ford version shift knob.
