So if I were to grab a Cyborg 39, is it compatible with stock intercooler piping and intake? I have a Mishimoto intake but does an intake meant for the stock turbo inlet still fit on the Cyborg 39?

And do many other companies provide tuning options? Like could I tell Stratified Auto I have the Cyborg turbo and they could send me a tune for that? This seems like a great option without blowing a couple grand into a new turbo setup.
Wanted to chime in regarding Stratified on tuning the cyborg, I went and saw Alex personally at his office before I chose him as my tuner. I had a bad experience with someone before, I told him I wanted him to start from
Scratch and we discussed my wants and needs. He has been amazing with the turbo, it comes on and turns off like a light switch.

As someone mentioned a hybrid turbo will be considered a BT, so you will have to get a pro tune. Hope this helps:)

Alex at Stratified has helped me out in the past as well. Once apon a time, I didn't know anything about the boost maps in these cars and he gave me a hand.

Razorlab once gave me some valuable ( all be it vague ) that really helped me with throttle tables.

Russ/DHM helped me with fueling at a higher power level.

So I've been personally helped by the tuner community myself. We are pretty lucky as a group.

I have a big appreciation for the tuners who believe in sharing information, educating, and generally being a part of the community.

Cyborg Upgraded Stock Turbocharger System

Some news from the lab are in.
Don't go insane over these as this is an early results V-dyno. The tuning def not finished and the fun is just starting but...

DHM factory fit intercooler, eBay 3" catless Downpipe, and an injen air intake.

This is on normal 93oct fuel and 23.6psi

To make this kind of power in my car with the original cyborg, I was very aggressive with the tune, needed cold air, E40 (or better) fuel, 28psi of boost, and sometimes meth injection. I also have a Loud 2J race intake, catless 3" turbo back also.

I was pleasantly shocked by the power it's making on such little boost.

DHM is ready to set the bar again it seems with tuning this setup.

Hey Brian I appreciate the tuning love but I would rather not someone get the wrong idea can you put the right tire size in VD?

Increasing the tire size to that adds about 25whp

I entered 205/45/17
Is that not the right tire size? I'm 3 sets into 235/45/17's

Holy cow... GOT IT. My bad.
My V-dyno is set to my 235's. I remembered to knock the tire size down, just did 45 instead of 40.

Still super exciting !! Lol

The spool alone is a drastic improvement over original cyborg. If I have one gripe with my cyborg, it's the spool. The power up top is nice, but it's not enough to justify the spool time. Still enjoy it every time I drive the car, but this new cyborg 39 looks like a game changer!

Well I certainly want to see it with the right V-dyno settings like Russ said and more tuning, but holy hell. That torque "curve" looks more like a table top. Spools fast, and has linear torque throughout the whole rev range. Keep it coming!

I fixed that already
