Combo question

Hey all, buddy of mine is looking to get Kumho ecsta tires UHP summer. He will put them on his 17x7 td wheel. I am not too knowledgable when it comes to tires/wheels. So pretty much what is the performance/tread life on these tires. Is this a good combo for a DD?

The PS31s are probably a decent street tire, albeit a little narrow in the tread width for my tastes, and their 400 tread wear rating tells me they will possibly be longer lasting at the expense of grip (VERY few >220 tread wear tires can have BOTH).
