Sounds like a pulley. Get a long 1/4" extension(if you don't have a stethoscope) and listen to each pulley bolt head while motor is idling to find the source. For things like AC and alt put the extension on the case as close to the pulley side bearing as possible.
Alternatively, Remove belt and spin each component by hand 1 by 1. Some times you cant spin them fast enough to produce the sound.
Can also get a can of brake clean, with motor running spray each pulley bearing, the sound should go silent one the suspect pulley. It could also just be the belt itself. Inspect it for cracking, it should be firm but not hard when scoring it with a finger nail. If sound goes away when spraying a pulley try spraying a different one. If the sound also goes away on that pulley belt is likely the source.

I sincerely hope the repair is as straightforward as replacing the pulleys and belt. I anticipate the worst-case scenario, hoping it is not the water pump; I definitely lack the patience for that kind of job and the labor involved, and I am too cheap to pay a shop to do it lol

Spray the Belt drive system with water and a spray bottle and go from there. Keep us up to date!

It's difficult to diagnose. To be frank, the sound is intermittent. I performed an oil change a week or two ago, and I have only heard the sound once since then. Now i'm dealing with other issues. Im pissed about the whole situation. Im not sure if I should even keep the car any longer or just tough if out . I've already put so much into it

Tough it out. Like you said you've already put so much into it. Keep the girl you know you like and do this and that to make her happy or start over with one you don't know yet. I've had over 40 cars, they ALL need work. Even the brand new ones.
Can relatively cheaply just throw a serp belt and couple pulleys at it and cross your fingers. And if it needs a water pump then
