Engine bay

Any clue on what this white stuff could be all over the engine bay? Wipes right off almost like a chalky feeling.

White stuff like that could be dried coolant. But it could be a lot of things as well, like, just dirt, of calcium if you live in a place where they spread it in winter.

Looks like crap that's been thrown into the engine bay from driving around. I wouldn't be concerned with it, just spray some dish soap mixed with water in pump sprayer and gently rinse the soap off.

From the Northeast....looks like salty water deposits.
