Hi! I am attempting my first engine swap with my 2014 Fiesta ST, it overheated and warped my head. So with this i’m going to be putting a new engine into it, I’ve been looking into sourcing an engine and I was wondering if I bought an engine from a 2015 FiST would i be able to use my current ecu or would i need to get the ecu with the new engine or do i have to take it somewhere to have the ecu retuned to match the engine?

You could take the 1.6 turbo from the escape and keep the ECU... They're all the same engine

Does it run the same engine code for the ECU? I just want to make sure it’s a direct plug and play swap or if I also need to purchase a new ECU
