It's not common, but there has been at least a few posts from people who seem to have issues with the EPAS drift compensation function; possibly wanting to disable using ForScan.

Just wanted to post notice...

... that you may need to tighten up the slack adjustment on your steering rack.

Additional details and a photo are in the above thread.

Any questions, additional information, experiences, feel free to post'em.

.Peace. 😎

That’s a really interesting observation about the steering rack adjustment!

I’ve noticed that especially after a rain, I eventually get what sounds like my coilover springs slipping on their perches and going “clunk”, and mild random left/right pulls that are distinct from normal negative camber pull/tramlining. Resetting the adaptations has helped and the clunk went away, and none of my issues are as bad as the ones described in the post you linked but now I wonder about this!

From the service manual, and looking at the physical rack, it looks like the adjustment should be *theoretically* accessible, though a pain in the ass to access.

It looks like there’s a spring in the preload system and even the best springs relax a bit over time. But I’m guessing it’s a pretty sensitive adjustment, so even over time it should only need a small amount of tightening
