Hi friends!!! i have a fiesta mk6 with swap to mk7. 5 st, which is giving temperature fault p1299 and u1035, I changed the coolant box sensor, I have checked continuity from the connector to the engine control unit, and everything seems correct! I haven't done the level sensor campaign but it shouldn't fail right? any ideas?,mod
I forgot, the fault appears shortly after turning on the ignition, starting or not starting, whether it's cold or hot, and it goes into limp mode.

in reality the car is not hot, it just thinks it is, turning off the ignition and turning it back on, it shows its real temperature for a while, but the temperature goes back up to the top, red light on the panel and limp mode

the problem is finally due to the lack of the coolant level sensor, the software was made but nothing was physically installed. Now that I have the pieces, I still have to know how the cables are connected, can someone help me?

I had this problem. I sent it to ford they said it was the sensor, I told them to change it and then changed my mind because they said it would cost £850 and I rang a performance place up that said they would take the software off for £50 but ford tried the sensor and said it was still the same so they said it was wiring. So I took the car home tried to put my imap back on the car and it failed and said return the car to stock. As soon as I did that all warning lights went off, so I would say it's a software fault. I still took it to have the software removed, just make sure the coolant is topped up

I topped up the coolant and its fixed! I don't understand why though.. My coolant bottle has no sensor or wires to it. How does the car know its low on coolant?

Now to find why my coolant is disappearing..

I removed the map off the car before going to ford and it didn't make a difference, I put it back on took it back off to see if it would reset it and clear it

If your coolant bottle looks like this, the sensor is in the bottom of the black thing connected to it. In dollars the sensor is around $800

Who did you use in the UK to have the software removed?

Did it solve your issue of constantly coming up with the error? And did it revert back to the standard map if you were tuned?

I had a dreamscience imap on the car i took it off when getting the fault because it was going to ford. Ford said it was the sensor the sensor came they tried it and it still had the fault. They then put it down to wiring and I brought the car home checked wiring, nothing wrong. I tried to put the imap back on and it failed and said return to stock so did that and all the faults went. So I would say it was a software fault somewhere but I took it to pumaspeed asked them to remove the software and had it remapped while I was there and I haven't had a problem with it since.
