Hey man, I just got one of those eBay paint to fit fenders for my ST. The paint was great, but even though they said the fender would be ST specific it wasn’t a great fit. The front mounting point where the bumper attaches was just a little off and I had to do some tweaking, but got it pretty close. Additionally, there should be a hole at the bottom of the fender where one the rocker panel clips attaches that the eBay fender lacks. I’m going to be installing the rocker this afternoon to my fender that lacks the hole to house the clip and will let you know how it goes. I may drill my own hole too, we’ll see. This video shows them solving the issue I’m talking about. I think they bought an eBay fender too:

If I had to do it over again I’d get an OEM fender and get it painted.
And yeah, you’ll have to remove the rocker to get the fender off. Here’s a good video:

Now to reinstall the rocker you might as well break all the clips out of the car and order 5 boxes of these clips from Autozone; Dorman Molding Retainer 963-203D
You’ll have to trim them a bit, but they’ll work.
It seems all but impossible to reinstall the rocker the way the video shows it coming off. Instead just install the new clips onto the rocker and then push the rocker and it’s new clips into the body.
Additionally, there are three clips under the vehicle that help attach the rocker. You should try hard to save these from damage during removal because I can’t find them anywhere.
A note on the fender install. There’s a ridiculous bolt behind the window that is very hard to remove, but doable. Trying to reinstall the bolt without removing the window is impossible. However in my opinion that bolt is not needed. The fender is attached in many places and it’s redundant. I’ve driven a lot without the bolt and the fender is firmly attached still. So just trim the fender with some tin snips where the bolt would go to make the install easy, or remove the window.
