I've got an appointment on Tuesday morning to get state inspection done, I can confirm if this applies to our cars when I go.

Sense the FiST is a Fiesta and the bodies, doors, & door locks are basically the same, it is a good bet that some of our cars might be involved.
I am also sure there are build date cut offs due to manufacturing part changes because 2015s are not involved.

It really makes no difference.
If your car is one, you WILL get a notice in the mail.

Or you can enter your VIN here and find out.

LOL I was just about to suggest the Owner site. I just checked my 2015 built in August of 2014, no recall.

The Sync Field Service Action is the only thing showing up for my 2014, so I'd guess "no" :)

Mine not either.
I an rather disappointed.

It WOULD make a good excuse for knocking off bicyclists. [kidding]

Welp, so far so good. The moment I read the article I went to the ford owner site. No Recalls other than the Sync warranty extension.

I just measured my door to see if it is more than 3 feet.
I'm safe, it's 42 inches.
The canyon run Sunday is now going to be more fun.

I am not sure; is an FiST a Fiesta?

Dave
To answer the question...yes...my Vin shows the recall listed for my vehicle.

Wasn't sure if they were all built at the listed plant.

Just checked...So far nothing listed for my FiST on Ford's Owner website with respect to this current recall announcement to the press...However that doesn't mean we're out of the woods quite yet either as most formal recall notices are not released to the customer until a few weeks after the company's formal press announcement to the public....

Currently all I'm showing is this (below)....

FSA Title: SYNC WITH MYFORD/MYLINCOLN TOUCH - WARRANTY EXTENSION COVERING ACCESSORY PROTOCOL INTERFACE MODULE (APIM)

Yeah my Explorer has the APIM warranty extension (it's a 2014) but my FiST does not, nor does my Dad's 2015 Explorer. They must have found some issues with a batch of the modules during some failure mode analysis and there is an elevated chance of a high failure rate down the road.

I got some sync apim update thingy notice is all. But the weird thing is all the "local" dealers shown on their little map weird local to Detroit... I bit unsettling that they know where my car is sorta... As I am not in that area but my car is..
