Fiesta ST Roof Racks

Hi guys,

Just asking for opinions, a few months ago (August) I became the proud owner of my 2017 Fiesta ST and am wondering what you guys think of the roof rack/platform/cargo box. Im debating getting either a roof rack + platform or roof rack + cargo box for a "practical rally" car kind of look and am wanting to know if anyone has recommendations and how we feel about the look. Eventually I do want to use this car to carry camping supplies as I go camping from time to time so they would get use, not just be there for looks. I used Google Gemini to generate two photos of my car, one with platform, one with cargo box, and have put them on this post along with the original photo. Also it is insane how advanced AI is now!

Thanks for any input or help! Snapchat-1864676484.jpg 1765462248265.png 1765462838465.png

If you're going to do that you'd get something like the Thule Evo clamp bars and then whatever mounts you need for, say, a bike holder, kayaks, clamshell or whatever. You could leave the Evo bars mounted all the time or just put them on when you wanted to carry something.

Yeah I wouldn’t leave any more than the rails installed all the time. The rack is heavy and the box is a giant sail on a car that already struggles with top heaviness and crosswinds at highway speed. Super helpful to have, but only when you need the extra cargo space.

Here’s mine back when it was my daily with the winter wheels and tires and roof box heading to to the mountains to ski

Alright, i was looking into the Thule rails my big worry in general is that we have "naked" roofs and I'm worried about how secure something might feel on highways specifically at 60-70 mph.

I don't really ski or anything so I'll probably reapproach this in spring or summer, just was curious on what yall thought.

Thank you for the feedback and help

I had the Thule base and cross bars. Never had a single worry about it at any speed.
