Fitment question for wheel and tire combo on stock suspension.

I found a screaming deal on some federal 595 RS-Rs at 215/40 R17. Of course i purchased them for next year and of course i need a set of wheels to go with it.

I really want to get a set of Rota Titans. Right now I'm looking at the 17X7.5 variety. From what i can gather i won't have any fitment issues/rubbing.

but for the same price i could move up to the 17X8s.

From the research i have done on the forum it looks like it will be tight but maybe possible? I don't want any rubbing or weird camber changes to make these tires fit. What do the experts say?

I cant comment on rubbing, but I a looking at the exact same set up. Same tire size, brand and model. Same Wheel from the same vendor. However, I found them $35 cheaper from the same vendor using their Amazon store.

I saw that too, but unfortunately the vendor won't ship APO through amazon (I'm military stationed overseas). So i would have to go directly through the source. I sent them an email but haven't heard anything yet.

As far as rubbing i talked to someone with the TD pro race 1.2 and a 38mm offset 17 x 8 and he has 0 issues and thinks the 40mm offset will be even better.

I have rota grids 17x8 et.40 with 215/40 lowered and no rubbing!
