but its damn near impossible to find true e85, would be nice to have an ethanol content sensor on the car to know what is actually in the tank vs guessing the blend

My pump just put out a rating of 90%. Used a test kit to find out. I was very surprised.

I've never seen an actual solution for flex fuel on this platform. The smartest thing I've seen is people having switchable maps for 93/E10/E20/etc...

Yeah, you're up there in shithole VA, so assholery is expected. Here in the Gloucester area the E85 is E85. I run this kit to monitor the E content real-time.

Absolutely the BEST way to monitor E-fuel content. Love not having to get another gauge to add to the cluster of Shit already going on in the car!

@TyphoonFiST and did you buy the universal fuel-it BT kit? if there was a fiestaST option it's no longer there. would love to get this as my e30 monitor and would appreciate any info. FORZDA is no longer active on the forum so you may be my only hope here.

All my stations pump over E85 even through winter
Be careful with that. Most E85 stations even in “warm” places like California will shift to blends as low as 70% ethanol in cooler months, and the DoE specification allows as low as 53% blended with 87 octane and it can still be sold as “E85” which is literally just a marketing term.

https://afdc.energy.gov/fuels/ethanol_e85_specs.html

Most E30 tunes have some margin built in because of shenanigans like that. The only way to truly get 85% ethanol mixed with 91/93 pump is to buy barrels of E99/100 or E85 and mix that way

You must piece it together. Mitch @ CPE when He was there put mine together and installed it. Most of it came from the Fuel-it Website. I can look to see if the CPE receipt has the part numbers if you'd like. LMK.

@TyphoonFiST if there's a parts list that's easy for you to grab that would be awesome if you posted it or DM'd me the list. The Fuel-it universal option lets you choose a lot of different pieces to go with the kit so my hope is a one stop shop. I know dizzy's option is tailor made for the Fiesta but this option just seems a lot cleaner overall.

Just FYI, my hope/plan is to put everything I did/had to redo in a build thread so whatever you send my way will probably get re-shared in some way.
