Hello everyone,

I've been lurking for a few months as I car shopped. I'm coming out of a mk6 gti lease and settled on getting a FiST!

Two weeks ago I picked up a 16 shadow black with recaros, nav, and black wheels ( I really only wanted recaros but this was on the lot and the deal was too good to pass up!)

600 miles in and I'm Super happy! What a great car :)

My only gripe is how brutal the ride is through the minefield of potholes on my daily commute so wheels are going to be step 1! I may have some potentialy exciting news about a new wheel option I stumbled upon for people interested in a 15x7 option, more to come in a different thread soon!

And finally I'm involved in starting a quick turn prototype/production machine shop here in San Francisco! Our company goal is to bring manufacturing (only milled 6061 AL at the moment) to the masses so if you have access to solid works or inventor there is a chance we can make some parts for you, for free! Check it out www.plethora.com! (mods let me know if I'm toeing a line here, I'm not trying to sell anything, just give members and vendors a heads up to a new way to make things!)

If you made it this far and couldn't tell I'm Super excited to be here and stoked on my new car! It's been years since I was involved in a car community, back in the day I was big in FWD Nissan SR20DE(t) cars, owned almost all of them: g20s,sentra se-r, nx2000s, and 200sx. Home brew turbo setups to full bolt on N/A. The Fiesta reminds me on my most beloved nx2000!

Dan

Sorry for the long post!

We are just coming out of beta, we are a lot more than a standard machine shop but... Right now our capabilities are limited. I can't go into too much detail, but what we are working on is very cool!

Forgive my last post, I'm just figuring out this forum and quoting people! I'll get back in the swing of things quickly....

Welcome! We should meet up sometime. I am in the South Bay.
Right on, is there an active Bay area group? It's been years since my last car meet up, I used to host wrench meets all the time. I don't have the space at my apartment, but I could maybe use the shop if it's cool with the founders. Everyone would just have to sign an NDA. But we have floor space to pull in a car or two easily.

Look for Norcal ST in facebook. I haven't been able to attend their meets yet, but they do happen.
