It's kinda become a term of endearment. The Mazda scene has kind of died off with the death of the MS3. There are still some guys hitting over 600, lots of 400 and 500 hp cars rolling a round.

When I was in it, I was one of the top guys with 310/358 wheel. hahaha. That was with methanol injection! There was almost no aftermarket out then. Dealers were selling the mazdaspeed cold air intake for 699.00 and the mazdaspeed catback for 899. It was crazy expensive
