Hi just bought a fiesta st and need help please

Note: I had to change to 205/45r16 (went with BFG SportComp2 - 8" wide tread, basically a 225/42 IN THIS SIZE ONLY) and the softer sidewall on this tire also helped.

IF nirdv is in an area outside of the southwest, or deep south (), and plans on running the tires year round with no dedicated winter setup, then the Sport Comp 2s, even with their 340 tread wear rating are way too summer-like for use in constant sub 40*F ambient temps. Those temps will end up freezing and crystallizing the rubber compound (and yes, even MUCH more so with one of the autocross/road race, 100/200 tread wear compound gummies).

So keep that in mind when suggesting pure summer donuts because you live where it never drops below 50* F.

Thought the OP was in SoCal. Which is where I am (ish)

It does get below freezing where I'm at, just not often enough to warrant a drastic change in tire choice. Obviously a YMMV situation.

OK, then all of those summer tire suggestions given above are PERFECT!

At times I wish that I lived where I did not have to 'compromise' with the lower performing, (but still more responsive than the full winters) all seasons for when I do not want to just burn up my winter/rally setup on cold DRY winter conditions.

Hi , just bought a 2017 fist with 20k miles and did the factory 100k warranty on it as well, that means I'm keeping it for a long time [emoji6]
I drove about 600 miles in the past 3 days with it and my tail bone is heart[emoji24].
What kind of mods do you recommend to make the ride more comfortable?
Springs? Smaller wheels? Seat cushion?

Front track bar from whoosh helps a lot hitting bumps and pot holes. By a lot I mean a whole lot. Itll feel like a luxury car in comparison. Plus you'll get better traction straight line and in the corners.

It's funny that you say that because the pierce motorsports one arrived just now at the door with the rear torsion brace as well , I thought it's just for handling and not for comfort but you just made me even more eager to mount it right away. Thank you

Put them on soon as possible. Both are very impressive individually...putting them both on will blow your mind the difference. You wouldnt think 2 little bars would matter much but itll be night and day and u can do both in an hour or less on jack stands.

The rear is more for handling only. The front is for handling too but the comfort in ride is surprising.

Any thing I should know before installing the front one ? Just to put it on Jack stands unscrew the bolts, mount it and put back the bolts?
No need to support anything?

Use jack stands...might need to use the jack the control arm an inch or less to line up the holes perfect. I used an electric impact to loosen the bolts since they're loctite in and I had new bolts to put in. I got them tight as I could. 100 ft lbs is all my tq wrench does...the I put it on ramps to try to get a lil more to get at least 115 ft lbs. It's pretty hard without an impact or a pipe to give u more leverage to get the bolts out.

Yea u can at least once. Its just recommend and was only $10 so I did but you shouldnt have a problem. To me its just something where if the bolt falls out or breaks and you're on the hwy you're gonna do a lot of circles if 1 wheels turns to the side...

The most important thing is fully tighten it on ramps not on jack stands. You don't want to tighten suspension components without a load on them it can damage the bushings.

Suggestion to try: Add a spacer to the front seat mount bolt as this places more support on the thighs and sell pressure on the tailbone. Having said that, I always thought the non-Recaro seats were terrible, but the Recaros are personal preference and may not be the right fix.
