Hello everyone.
A few weeks ago someone decided to take an unprotected left in front of me and this was the end result:
RIP Camaro, I hardly knew you:
The insurance company ended up totaling the car so I was left without a fun/weekend car. So this past Thursday I decided to go car shopping.
I didn't want to commit myself to such a big purchase again so I started off looking at Ecoboost Mustangs. The problem was that not a single dealer in my area had any with a MT.
So then I decided to look at Focus STs, there was only one car in my area, a fully loaded ST3. I had actually traded in a 2013 ST3 for the Camaro back in January and frankly I didn't feel like dealing with the Recaro seats, which had grown somewhat uncomfortable over the time I had the car. So I changed options again.
I hadn't really thought about the Fiesta ST, not that I thought it was a bad car, I just thought it was too small. I had driven it at the ST Octane Academy last year and my memory was of a very dynamically fun car but I had no experience with it off a track. So I go over to the only dealer in the area with a FiST in stock and ask to go for a test drive. We drive around for maybe twenty minutes and a light bulb goes off in my head. This is honestly all the car I really need. Despite having less than half the HP as the Camaro, you can actually use the majority of the power band on the street and the light weight isn't let down by a lack of power.
The salesman ran some numbers, I was happy with the price and so I am now the proud owner of a 2015 PB FiST. Maybe it's just the honeymoon period but every time I drive it I end up with a smile on my face.

R: I bought a FiST cause it's a hoot to drive despite not having considered it before.
