So I've gotten my Injen exhaust, but still have to wait on my car which has a scheduled build date in the last week of May. Now like the day before the exhaust arrived I found a pair of Injen videos I hadn't seen before (could only ever find one video) where it sounds nice with a deep tone, but fairly tame. My previous car was a Celica GT with an Invidia N1 exhaust that was loud and angry, and was heaven to my ears downshifting hard for a corner. I'm curious to see if anyone has an aftermarket exhaust that they deleted the resonator on, and if doing that to this would liven it up. I found one thread where people seemed to agree that it added more pops and burbles to the stock exhaust. I got fairly used to the drone that Invidia had, it was nuts at times, especially in gear decel coming off the highway, so drone isn't much of an issue if the exhaust sounds terrific.

I miss that car all over again writing this T.T

tl;dr - Will removing the resonator add some anger(pops and burbles) to my Injen catback without sounding too tinny? Or maybe a muffler delete?

The video I saw before buying the exaust.

The two videos I found afterwards.

If you liked the first vid, you might want to look into a downpipe. Depo racing has one listed with a 100 cell cat for ~$280USD if you want to go ultra cheap.

Well traditionally, cheap exhaust parts tend to crack at the welds, not fit correctly out of the box and cats might blow out pretty quickly. Probably made overseas as well so buyer beware.

Okay, so shying away from sketchy parts, thoughts on the original question?

Depo really isn't that bad. They have better quality than some name brands like OBX for example. That being said, there will be a quality difference, but not enough to be scared away.

I'll add their 100 cell cat to my wishlist.
