I tried my hand at installing lowering springs last night. After fighting with small spaces and the tophat nut I finally got the driver's side front Eibach installed. I put the wheel on and dropped it back down and...... it looks higher than when I started! I have not done any other corners yet, could this affect the lowering of this corner? This has not been the case on previous cars on coilovers. Everything was installed correctly as far as I can tell. I bought these used with like 10k miles. I think the previous owner had the fronts installed upside down. I don't know how long it was driven like that. Could the springs be messed up because of that? Not sure what to do because if these are messed up I don't want to waste my time installing them then uninstalling. Maybe they just need to 'resettle'? Any input appreciated.

Springs that are unloaded will go back to their natural, uncompressed, height. It may take a few days of driving to get them used to supporting the weight of the car and show the full drop. Assuming they were designed for the FiST and not the normally-aspirated Fiesta (I don't know what they have available), you should see a difference rather quickly.
