Knock & Negative Corrections | Down the Rabbit Hole

Hey everyone

I have been trying to troubleshoot my issues for months and wanted to get some fresh eyes that know this platform better than I do.

Some background:

Modlist: Whoosh V3 intercooler, Mountune Radiator, CPE RMM, New Ford OEM Top Motor Mounts, Drop in Air Filter (cut the bottom of the air filter off for sound ), NGK Ruthenium HX .028 Plugs, Mountune Silicone IC Hoses

I did a timing belt & etc, about 2000 miles ago by a local small shop.

I purchased a Dizzy Stage 1 Tune and drove it for 100 miles. My OAR wasn't getting to -1 so this is when the troubleshooting began. I tried a ton of different gas stations, ended up getting my intake valves cleaned professionally which seems to have helped my OAR.

My Issue: I am getting a ton of negative corrections / knock at WOT. I removed the tune to be safe but I am still seeing these corrections on the stage 0 tune. I have been triple checking everything is tight and good, the car itself drives and runs fine, no CEL or rough driving. Hits peak boost fine. My OAR drops as well when getting into WOT with the tune.

I attached a log of some WOT with the tune, car doesn't go into corrections until I am at WOT.

Does anyone have any advice of next steps for things I should be looking at? Injectors? Boost Leak? Timing?

Thanks everyone, hoping I can get this fixed and start enjoying the car again.

did you reach out to your tuner? And where do you live? I live in eastern connecticut and some of the 93 I've been getting has been extremely hit or miss... also what is the oar you are seeing and what are your corrections like?

Thanks for the response. I have been chatting with my tuner but getting one sentence answers so I think I need to find someone more willing to troubleshoot with me. Do you have anyone you could recommend? Happy to pay whoever to diagnose my issue with me.

I'm based in MD, at WOT I see some of the cylinders hit as high as -4 and the OAR drops quickly. I've tried 5/6 different gas stations and haven't seen much change. This is all on the stock Stage 0 tune as well as I pulled the pro tune to be safe.

Wondering if this could be injector-related, as they were pulled for the timing belt job, and I heard they are pretty tricky.

Definitely sounds motor mount or timing related.... what do you have for passenger, driver side, and rear mounts? Are they stock?

I have a CPE RMM and just swapped in OEM top motor mounts.

Messing with AI they are pointing me towards a HPFP issue..but who knows

ehh... did it happen soon after the timing belt replacement? Shops are notorious for not doing the timing jobs on these cars 100% to spec...

Hard to say because I didn't buy an AP until a few months later, the car drives fine, hits peak boost, and is just going nuts with the corrections at WOT. I probably wouldn't know it was having issues without the AP.

What would be done wrong during the TB replacement? Could it be off a tooth and not throw a code?

Ah good to know, might be the next rabbit hole I chase. It was hard enough finding a shop near me that would be willing to do the job haha.

Appreciate your help.
