LED Lights

I have just rented a car equipped with LED Lights. FirSt time driving one with them. Can certainly see the benefit.

I do not pretend to have the skills to rip apart the headlight housing and drilling out parts of the reflector.

So what is the easiest way to get LED's into my 2015 s.

Ordering parts from Germany/ UK ?

A splease aftermarket conversion?

I currently have the Morimoto 2Stroke LED kit from RetrofitSource which fit into the factory headlights, but with some modification due to heatsink size. The output however is only...decent.

I am waiting on some Euro light assemblies to arrive which have projectors from the factory, so I will see if these LEDs will work in that application. I'm hopeful it will but we shall see. These bulbs were specifically designed with halogen projectors in mind so I'm playing the waiting game and will post my results soon.

The European versions have LED's -- Correct? So what is stopping me from buying a factory headlight from Germany and installing it here? Cost? Availability?

They have LED daytime running lights, they still use H7 halogens for low beams in a projector.

I have the xenon depot h11 led bulbs and I will say they are definitely better than stock. Some "people" will say other wise but I like them and would never go back.

They are definitely better, as I can attest to that myself, but for those who are used to the output of projectors, they leave a lot to be desired.

I too have the XenonDepot H11 LED bulbs, and I agree that they're better than stock in terms of brightness and distance. I was worried about blinding oncoming drivers, but that has not happened, nor was I ever flashed by them. So, yes, I too would not go back to stock.

Completely plug and play. You will have to spread the heat-sink mesh on the back of the bulbs, but there is still no modification of the housing or such.

They're definitely brighter than stock halogens, no doubt. But I also firmly believe that they don't put as much usable light on the road. The stock halogens, while not the brightest, have decent output in terms of light pattern on the road. The LEDs won't, plain and simple.

I had the Xenon Depot LEDs for about a year before I sold them to help finance my HID retrofit and the first thing I noticed going back to halogens was how much better the pattern on the road was compared to the LEDs.

Personally, either do an HID retrofit (seriously, it isn't hard), or get the best halogen bulbs you can find (still cheaper than LEDs).

I think they'll turn out nice. I feel like those 2Stroke LEDs were designed to work primarily with halogen projector housings rather than reflectors like ours.

My euro lights have arrived, going to pick them up from the post office tomorrow. The H7 adapters also arrived today so perfect timing for everything.

I can say with a resounding, "OH HELL YEAH!" that the LEDs in the euro lights is a perfect fit and looks awesome. Pics soon.

Anxiously awaiting...
