What about a rear brace? Is that worth while as well?
When I was at Jim's shop last week we spoke about this.
I would expect something very soon.

I know he is also working on a Strut Tower Brace.

I put these braces on to prevent things from moving.
Under normal circumstances you should not feel any difference.
However is you track or drive in a very spirited manner, without these kind of braces you will a little movement.

I have not been able to track the car sense this install so I do not have a more definitive answer at this time.

That's a pretty nice price shipped actually, although I don't see any color options available. Also as someone asked, what's the ground clearance like on this?

Just send a note when you buy or email before you buy.

As for ground clearance, that would depend on where you have your car set.

Hey guys-I'm Jim Pierce from Piercemotorsports and like Dave said, we're primarily a racecar shop here in Torrance, California. We've been racing professionally since 1988 and have been blessed to be involved in many different racing disciplines over the years. We have championships in desert, rally and roadracing with wins at every level from club to pro!!! I drove for Ford a bit back in the 90's and when we moved to roadracing in the late 90's I wasn't as excited about the new Focus as I was about the FORD ESCORT GT's. We created a really nice product line to support the track day enthusiast and still maintain it to this day!

We plan on building some chassis brace/suspension parts for the Fiesta ST---super excited about the car/platform and it's potential! I can tell that over the last year we've had the Hyundai Veloster Turbo, KIA Rio, Subaru BRZ, Chevy Sonic RS Turbo and our own Fiesta ST all out to our local racetrack Willow Springs to do testing/develop a baseline and the Fiesta ST was the fastest turning a 1:42 second lap on the big track with oem rubber/completely stock!!! That's an amazing time for anycar/most track day enthusiast's and the car was completely bone stock!

Anyrate here's a couple of shot's of some of the thing's we're working on---I need to become a vendor before we can offer them for sale, (If someone could point me in the right direction/who would I need to contact for that?) but a couple of lower braces, strut braces etc...They're all built from 4130 Chromoly alloy which is considerably stronger than mild steel and more than 10 times as strong as aluminum at the same thickness/weight. We do build everything one piece to minimize movement/deflection. These are built here in our shop using all modern processes (laser cutting, water jet, plasma) and many of the parts can be finished in a variety of different colors!
Cheers!!!

Jim, do you allow local pickup of your braces. I live in So Cal so I'm not too far.

That strut brace is great, very impressed you made it and cleared the brake/clutch res!

I'll be putting in my order for the lower brace here soon, when is the strut brace going to be released?

This weekend-we've built 3 off the jig now and they've been spot on for 2 different chassis so we're good/safe-thanks for the support/interest!

Which bolts are used on the driver side strut? I just installed a hood strut from SICO which mounts to the back left strut nut (looking at the strut from the front). Thanks.

Although this thread is not about mounting an upper strut tower brace.
The mounting points there are the same that hold in the spring/strut assembly itself.

I hope that helps.

I'll shoot a couple pics and post them up tomorrow for you---the flange picks up quite a few points/studs on the drivers side, but I don't think it uses the back left...

Does the strut bar clear the plastic engine cover? I was looking at the bay today trying to think how a strut bar could clear it...
