Welcome to the forum. Check out the South FL section in the forums....seems like a few knowledgeable people there....I ony have a warranty friendly Mountune mod which I had installed at the dealer, since at the time they had to do the install to keep the warranty.

Welcome! Darn, Shelby had to go hunh? I have an FSWerks shift plate installed, did it myself in about 30 minutes in the garage. Quick, easy, effective and cheap. Boomba and Mountune offer shift plates as well. Just a thought, see thread here http://www.fiestastforum.com/forum/threads/6301-Steeda-Fiesta-Short-Throw-Shifter

The Shelby was a great car but I pushed it to the limit. All modified putting some good numbers to the tires.

The timing was good to get out of it before it blew up and financially. The Shelby was a fun to drive but it would kill you if you messed up. With this car I can push it to limit with a smile on my face. It seems mod friendly. I need to look into some more options! E30 tune and fmic!

To be honest unless you personally know the shop I wouldn't take it anywhere around here. We have a little groups of FiSTers and do garage days every now and then, and I have installed my own bommba shifter by myself with the tools provided to me by the gracious TurboRon the install is pretty easy. There's a Cobb certified installer in Palm Beach, but they are kinda shady and last time they didn't put back the heat shield correctly and also left the intake piping untightened. I know a lot of Subie people probably have a shop they can recommend but to be honest nothing is going to be better than doing it yourself with people to help you. Leaving it up to a minimum wage wrench monkey is foolish.

It's a long way from you, but this shop in West Palm Beach is a good place to check out: http://www.bellomotorsport.com/ I just went there for corner weighting/alignment and got to meet the guys. The shop has been open for 20-30 years and the owner and his wife both used to be heavily involved in SCCA racing. They were honest, clean, and methodical.
