Ordered the Cobb TBE and FMIC kit with charge pipes today, along with some more pads for my 7424xp and other assorted detailing products. Also looking at possibly picking up the Boomba short-shift and some wrap for the DP, and maybe a few other incidentals.

Unfortunately the upstream O2 sensor ended up rounding off before breaking loose. Getting the dp out with it still installed is not fun either. The downstream was completely uneventful though.

So needless to say I'm driving the FoST right now. I put in am order for the sensor Saturday evening, so I'm going to call today to get an estimate of how long it might be before showing up. I know the last group that was waiting had to wait around 5 weeks as the part is manufactured in Germany. If I'm not lucky enough to get one sooner, maybe I'm lucky enough to have a Cobb intake to install around the same time.

I un-married the AP3 and tuned the FoST for the mean time, and it's been so long since I had driven out that I had forgotten how quiet and powerful it is. It feels less fun due to its size and weight, but will definitely go when prompted. I may contact FreekTune to start doing the FoST maps while the FiST sits patiently in the garage.

what kind of shift knob?
It's the polished 2.5" from Boosted Designs. I'm really pleased with it, though I sort of wish I would have gotten the brushed finish because I think it would have matched the rest of the interior just a touch better.

Well I finally got my upstream O2 sensor in today, which means I got my Cobb TBE installed. I'm thoroughly pleased with the tone and sound so far, though I didn't get much time to log more than a few miles on it. I can only imagine it will get better once it fully burns-in.

It was kind of nice having to drive the FoST for the last few days. I kind of stopped driving it a couple of months ago when used to be my Friday car because I just enjoy driving the FiST so much more. It was nice and comfy by comparison, even if that meant it felt big and heavy as well.

I also got another revision from Justin to make the adjustments for my IC. I had dropped back to the Stage 2 OTS tune out of curiosity, and the FreekTune is leaps and bounds better and smoother. I'll get some miles on it tomorrow and hopefully get some more logs off.

It's not the greatest as it's just shot with my phone, so you may need a headset. The video starts out about half-way through a 1500 rpm rev, followed by about 3500, and then about 6k (cuz cars love that shiz), with a bit of idling at the end.

Edit: I'll probably try to grab a better one tomorrow. This video really doesn't do the system any justice. Someone should gift me a Go-Pro. This system snaps, crackles, and pops more than Rice Krispies.

That sounds great. WestBlue just posted the other exhaust I was interested in, the FSWerks, and they both said so good. It's going to be a hard decision for sure.

Thanks for the video!

It would be nice to hear these exhaust videos with some load on the car, not just free revs. The sound is much different between that and load. (driving the car)

Do you also have the Cobb downpipe? Or just the TBE?

I agree, but I don't really have anything to get a decent quality video. I can try to use my phone today and see what I get. I'll post them tonight after work.

Turbo back exhaust = Downpipe + cat-back

I guess I never posted pics in this thread, so that's my bad-
