It drives well, actually. The only vibes I'm getting right now are at idle with AC on, in which it feels like a small-displacement diesel. It doesn't rattle the car but it is noticeable. With AC off and driving normally no one would ever know it's there.

Glad to hear it's not too bad, that was my biggest concern is getting an annoying vibration at idle which makes the mod not worth it for me.

Same here, only vibrates with a/c on at idle, otherwise the COBB RMM is pretty smooth.

I have located and should be picking up a new set of wheels this weekend that are 17x7. Not the sizing/offset that I ultimately want, but I think they will look great on the FiST. They're rare and I don't think I'll have to worry about seeing another Fiesta (ST or not) running them.

I have a dead-pedal for the FoST to see how well it fits, but unfortunately the FoST went in to have a scratch repaired under warranty (stupid pinstripers, please pray for me), have LoJack installed, and get tinted. I do have a Mk3 on loan (it actually uses a key), so I may try the placement in there out of curiosity.

I'll probably hold out that info until I have them at least in my possession. They are a pretty clean design of nearly stock fitment so I'll have to run spacers, but it's a pretty rare set that I think will look great on the FiST.

Thanks! I'm a few $k into the cars and a little upset that I haven't even purchased tuners yet, but some things have to be acquired when the situation presents itself.

Because I prefer my wheels to be closer to the fender. I never have a need to run tire chains and don't like the look of a narrow track width. Basically, just personal preference.

One lesson I learned from my Mk3 was to determine spacing based on the actual tires you purchase, and then stick with them. The tire industry isn't regulated very closely when it comes to sizing, so one set of 215's may measure wider at the tread than another. When you're fighting for every available mm, they can make the difference between a good fit and a destroyed fender.

Here is my find of the year. A never-mounted, bnib set of 10+ year old Sean Hyland Evo's! As far as I'm aware there have only been ten sets of these ever made, which were for the Mk1 Focus.

The angle of the photo and placement of the wheels is a bit deceiving, but they are 17x7 like the OEM wheels but are ET42 instead of our ET47.5. I intend on mounting 215/40's on them for daily driving and will determine spacer size after I purchase coils in the future.

They definitely wouldn't work for show wheels, at least not for me. Maybe I'll feel differently once I have rubber on them and my suspension/spacers sorted. They also wouldn't do well for auto-x as they weigh 22 lbs. But they look really clean on the early-model Focus and the FiST lines are very similar so I think they'll do great for daily driving.

Yeah, but it's not a huge deal to me. I do things to be different when possible, so long as they are sensible and tasteful mods. It's basically my work commuter, which I'll treat as a show car and build accordingly.

There's a good possibility that this car will end up setup similarly to my Mk3-low, tight wheel/tire fitment, tons of hours into paint, and some full-custom/prototype pieces. I know that will bother many, but people need to realize that a clean example of a particular model will draw the attention of a lot of people that may have never thought to look.

Not that performance will be overlooked, I just have to take advantage of opportunities as they arise. I also have the FoST that will require funding as well, le sigh.

I like them, if only 10 sets were made 10 years ago you're going to have a very unique look.
