Question about coilover install

So I've been trying to figure this out. I purchased a set of whoosh coilovers (thank you Ron!), when installing the rear divorced coilover does the spring perch sit above or below the spring? and if it sits above, should I continue to use the spring isolator pads?

I had the question. Installed mine over the past few days. At first I had the spring perch at the bottom but after tinkering with the heights and such I realized that it’s already messing up the perch padding. Flipped it over and drove it today, perch on top, no weird noises or obv issues. Free way and somewhat spirited driving.

Ive had a few coilover setups but the two that were not divorced were the HSD Mono Pros - adjuster is bolted into the beam and the Bilstein B14 - adjuster is set on the body side.

Its easier to adjust the coilover with the adjuster on top as the beam pocket made it a royal pain to adjust the HSD's without taking the full load off the spring seat to turn them.

After a bit of research, someone stated they spoke to Ron and was told to set it up how you’ve said, adjuster colar on top. Made the switch and haven’t had any issues. To answer your question @Ganjie the foam pads that were on top, are now not needed, from top to bottom it should be: adjustable colar perch, spring, then the oem plastic seat.

At least that is where my research has led me. So far no issues, about 2k on this setup also running the whoosh coils
