Stock turbo cold side inlet size?

I'm about to buy the 2J Racing intake but am hesitant to cut up my stock cowl to make it fit. So I had the idea of using a 90? silicone coupler instead. But I was wondering if anyone knows the diameter of the stock turbo inlet? And if you think it would work? Thanks for the input.

What, exactly, are you trying to do? Where do you plan on using the coupler?

Whatever you're trying to do is going to defeat the purpose of the 2J intake. Just buy another hot air intake or keep your stock one. The 2J intake is meant to suck air from the cowl to get the coldest air possible. If you put a 90 off of the turbo the intake will end up in the bay and thus will suck in hot air. I also think it will not work unless if you went directly over the manifold which again defeats the purpose of the intake.

Cut the cowl or buy a different intake

I thought that's what he was trying to do... But, I didn't want to believe that. OP could try running without the lower cowl portion. It'd be flimsy, so you'd need to figure out how to bolster it. But, that too would defeat the purpose of the 2J by allowing the heat to freely travel up into the cowl area...and into the car as well.

I think I misunderstood what you have to cut. I thought the stock piece that attaches the turbo to the stock intake is what you had to cut but I'm now realizing the piece you have to cut is the black plastic piece that runs underneath the windshield. My bad sorry for the stupid question.
