That sounds good to me, why not just leave the straight pipe setup an be done with it?
Did you just remove the muffler and resonator and keep the other stock pipes, or did they build you a straight pipe system from the cat back?

I removed the resonator and the muffler. It's not to loud but a bit drony. I ordered an 18 resonator so we'll see how that goes.
