Strut Braces & Tiebars

If you were going to pick one or the other either front upper or lower brace, which is going to be more beneficial?
Also what about the same question for the rear setup.
I think this car is already pretty tight but I'm always curious.
My thinking is of getting an upper front and lower rear from Pierce Motorsports if/when one surfaces.

I ordered the upper strut bar from them. I got the upper because not only does it stiffen It up a little, but I like the way they look. I got it color matched to the car.

Nope. You're dead wrong. You will see FAR more benefit from a lower front stress bar/brace than you will from the front shock tower brace.
Rear brace, you'll definitely notice a difference. I am running a Steeda torsion beam stiffener brace and that's helped make the car's rear end much better behaved.

Kevin Lleuvano went out and ran 3s faster lap times at Adams last night after fitting a lower stress bar and rear trunk area shock tower brace.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I didn't say I was right. Still trying to get more info/learning. Sometimes wading through lots of web pages just leads to more confusion. Especially when it comes to suspension setup. I do wonder about ground clearance of speed humps with a front tie bar tbh. Especially if I had coilovers fitted.

Pierce Motorsports, TPB, Steeda and World Racing all make rear strut tower braces.

Dave you're running coilovers. Are you concerned about ground clearance on the street with the front tiebar? Also any pictures of your rear bar?

Never concerned about ground clearance, normally just takes off a little metal or asphalt.
If I ever do get high centered and need to call AAA, I will let you know.


Here is a photo of my Rear Stress Bar.
It is just a little forward of the shock perches so I can still use all of the cargo space.
It is also easily removed if I need all of the cargo space.

The upper is more for show it turns out, really. The uppers are fairly solid from the factory cos the friggin firewall's right there lol but the lower is where you'll see the improvement. Typically I'm used to seeing some benefit from uppers but there's much more to be gained from the lower front brace in the Fiesta ST
