Sync 3 - Android Auto - Samsung - Multiple Issues (volume up and down, chimes while using phone)

Latest Android Auto
Android 8.1.0

#1 issue - Volume raises and lowers while streaming music (iheart, Amazon). It's about a 50% change, happens every 10 seconds or so. Seems similar to when Waze drops the volume. Uninstalled Waze, still happens.
If I take Android Auto out of the loop, just connect via Bluetooth, it streams fine.
Makes streaming music pointless.

#2 issue - Now I am getting chimes thru the car speakers while using the phone. It's a 4 note chime like ding....ding ding ding. Have no idea what this can be.

Anyone else having these issues?

Those chimes might be how you have your text messaging sound set or default . I've not been able to get my phone set up for that but I seen something about chimes when I was looking through some of the settings for phone.
