Hey guys -

Ive been searching through threads and just wanted to post up to see if anyone is running the same 15x8 35mm offset. Whats the best tire for this a 205/50, 195/55, or a better option without rubbing? I'm lowered on mountune springs.

I will be doing Bilstein coilovers on TD 15x8 et30 but 205/50/15. There is a slightly better tire selection, though slightly smaller circumference.

In my eye's there's two choices for the 15x8 TD's: 205/50/15 and 225/45/15. Moving down in tire width, when you've spent so much money for wheels seems like a loss for me.

205/50/15 is going to be the taller tire, and thus will have longer gearing than the 225's.
225/45/15 is going to be the faster size, with shorter gearing.

I'm still torn between 205/50/15 Star Specs, or 225/45/15 RS4's.

My 15s are only 6.5 inches wide and they bulge out with 195s but I've been hearing Federals come fairly wide so I think that could be why.

Oh for sure. If you're on 6.5's than 195's make sense. If you're 7-8 inch wheel than I think it's a choice between 225's and 205's. I too have heard Federals run almost a size wide.

FYI

BFG SC2 have a bit wider tread than the exact width numbers would suggest.

195/55-15 size
tire - tread width
BFG SC2 - 7.7"
Toyo R1R - 7.4"
DZII SS - 7.0"

205/50-15 size
tire - tread width
Toyo R1R - 7.6"
DZII SS - 7.5"
Falken 615 - 7.3"
BFG SC2 - not available

Width is not everything, assuredly the ZII SS and R1R have better compound.
