Thermal R&D exhaust.
I can’t see how this clamp could be bolted on the spherical clamp. 3B6A98E7-5660-4958-9CD4-06B39E9EB055.jpeg
Is it the wrong size? The pipe is 3 inches, but the bulge at the spherical joint increases the diameter. 289EBAF3-39EA-4146-922A-B153A7322529.jpeg

I’m gonna see if local muffler shops have a larger diameter spherical clamp.

I would like to get some advice, thank you in advance.

When I got my thermal exhaust. They reached out to me after it shipped to let me know the exhaust shipped with the wrong size clamp, the one they sent was too small. They actually shipped out the correct one and it arrived before the actual exhaust did. I would reach out to Thermal R&D I bet they are used to this issue, (for whatever reason)

Lucky for me, a local muffler shop had a 3.5 inch clamp in their used D0059AC2-2E0A-4310-894C-B8D84459334E.jpeg 9B1FDF6D-450D-4A13-BFBF-3C0E8A57F991.jpeg parts bin. It works, gets kinda close, but still plenty of gap and it’s effective.

If you ever need another (or new) replacement, Summit Racing usually stocks these in many sizes, and their prices are about the best I've seen for these type clamps.

Thermal sent me the correct clamp. It is a Norma SEC 70. 70 mm nominal diameter (with bolt on). Shame on me for not doing a fit check before I cut the oem exhaust. Hope other people can use this for reference.

Yup, CP-E used to sell them (maybe they still do?) for their Nexus system which uses one at the tailpipe/Helmholtz resonator swivel joint connection for our rides (which I have on the car), but they marked it up a bit more than Summit's price, and charged much to ship it out.

I used this for a reference, but only after I had cut out my exhaust as well... I actually found something at NAPA that is getting me by for now, but its clearly not the right clamp, new clamp will be here Monday...

I never woulda thunk to even fit check first…
My clamp got shipped out on 11/28 via UPS 2-day, I just got it on 12/6. I hope you get yours on time.

In case it's of any use, this clamp worked on both my Thermal and CPE Nexus:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q0DMZSQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And in case the link ever dies, it's Walker Exhaust 36522. $16.37 shipped Prime at time of this post!
GREAT find, and it's still an authentic Norma clamp (one of the very few companies actually making these swivel joint type clamps) for a great price, albeit sold by Walker Exhaust. [twothumb]
