I have been working on changing the timing belt in my FiST. It’s my first time, and I’ve watched several videos. I had all of the necessary locking tools (pin, flywheel lock, cam lock).
I also followed the instructions on a ford tech manual detailing how to perform it properly.
I have the new belt on with the crank on. I turned the engine over manually twice and it did not return back to TDC. Does this mean that my timing is off?
Both cams are at 1 o clock, and when turning the engine over it did not seem to hit any valves… turned over just fine.
I included a picture of the cams before I took the old belt off. To my knowledge, nothing rotated while working on it.
