Trade in 2016 Fiesta ST for a 2019 Fiesta ST?

I'm debating whether I should trade my beloved 2016 Fiesta ST. It is arguably my all time favorite DD car. I've put over 40,000 miles on my FiST (bye warranty). Fiesta ST is going out of the production and 2019 is the last year. I'm considering forking over about $10k after a trade in for a brand new 2019 Fiesta ST (with a back-up camera). I'd hate to part my 2016 Fiesta ST which has been trouble-free all those miles. Should I? Shouldn't I?

Yup! But most of the parts will fit the 2019 so just transfer from the 2016.

Are the '19s totally free from the dreaded door/hood/hatch seam rust bubbling crap?!

The blend door is just a slight pain.
The rust bubbles are MAJOR surgery, and/or practically rebuilding the car to fix it properly. [:(]
I said that I would have the car to the wheels fall off, maybe I will have it to they rust off. I definitely don't believe it's worth fixing out of your own pocket. Hopefully they will do the right thing and extended the warranty but we know they won't.

What will your 10k buy you? A backup camera?
That's funny. $10k would give me 40,000 less miles for one of my favorite cars of all the time also the last one in its year. Maybe throw in full loaded. Mine is just a base with a sunroof but I like those base seats, actually. I'm not sure leather is for me.

Fair enough. My ‘16 has 42k on it and I feel it’s just coming into form.

I’d wait for the 2019 to depreciate and buy a low mileage one in a few years, if I were you. Especially of you don’t care about recaros.
