The problem is that no matter how well read you are on a subject via internet research, you still have no real world experience or knowledge. Your reading of this thread and other threads on other forums does not make you an expert tuner commonplatypus. There is also a way to ask questions that is not offensive, you come off as if you are posing an inquisition. Nobody is going to want to give you answers with that attitude, Adam is rightfully on the defensive. There is a civil way to address concerns and attacking methods you have a limited "forum researched" knowledge of is not the way to go about it. Lets all step up and be a lot more mature.

Thank you.

I have been out of town for the holidays and will be data logging and sharing this week. I look forward to working with Adam and am positive that he won't mind us sharing our data logs, both before and after working with him and the upgraded WGA.

I was kind of excited to see a discussion since I'm all sorts of dumb, but yeah, the questioning wasn't really handled right.

Either way, I'm excited to see more results. I have mine, and I'm likely having it installed in the early spring/late winter. :)

Right, so...

Been doing some thinking regarding this topic, my initial post, what happened here, and so on. It helped me reach a conclusion; a few of them actually. The first was that I approached this incorrectly. Very incorrectly. As was correctly pointed out by some, I had posed more of an inquisition or an attempt to make Adam look like a fraud more than anything else. Perhaps I did do that subconsciously. I didn't feel as if I was doing it at the time; so I've gotta be honest in saying I did not entirely realize it had been going that way. That was dumb; I'm going to apologize to Adam directly. There's not much else that can be done with that.

That deserved that response(s) it got. Adam does this shit professionally and has built a business around it. He's obviously good at it. Who am I to call him out and criticize?

The second was that I failed to see that people were very obviously satisfied and expressing little concern with Adam's products or services. They obviously work for a good number of people and that is good. I spent all of my time trying to find the bad that I failed to see the good being done here as well as the happiness being brought.

Third, I didn't realize HOW competitive and proprietary tuning had become.

The other things this helped me realize have been of a personal nature. Sometimes it takes something like this (internet or otherwise) to reach those, so I got something out of this experience that was better than answers to my initially asinine questions.

I still have my reservations about wastegate actuators like the Turbosmart, but if people are happy with them and Adam is handling them appropriately (As is evident here), then that is good and it doesn't matter what I think. They're still not for me and that's okay too. I couldn't see that there were two sides to that coin before.

Even if THIS post doesn't get received well, despite the good intentions to offer amends, I'll still have felt better having said it. Many people just double down and refuse to admit when they are wrong or even to apologize. I don't want to do that here.

TL;DR - I apologize for causing a stir and for offending Adam and his work. I approached this inappropriately and I'll own that. I got caught up in my own bullshit and that isn't good. I hope that Adam can bring happiness to his customers with his skills and knowledge and help continue to try to push this platform to be better going forward. :)

Actually, per my email signature I don't allow datalogs to be shared publicly unless it is discussed with me first. There are a few people on here that are dying to see datalogs of my tune so they can bite off my strategies. Trust me, I had a customer that was working with me and another tuner at the same time and he kept forwarding me messages of the other tuner begging him to send datalogs from my tune. Needlessly to say that tuner lost ANOTHER customer.

Understood and no problem. If I don't get to pull away from work on my "vacation", I'll never datalog the car anytime soon anyway! Lol

For the few 2014 Fiesta owners that are having the odd factory BPV chirping issues I am working with a single customer to resolve the issue. Once it is resolved I will apply it to your tunes, this makes it easier than trying different things with different customers.

in 6th gear when I come off boost I occasionally get a sound like a balloon letting out air. Is this what you are talking about?

I'm not sure, to describe it best for 2014 vehicles only it sounds like a bird chirping when you let of throttle, or are in HEAVY part throttle.

Are they sure that they aren't just hearing the BPV through the intake...at least on the ones with an open element. On mine, since I have the MAP Intake, I can hear the dual port Turbosmart pssssh at the valve on the passenger side and at the same time I can hear a sort of Chuuu through the intake on the drivers side. Sounds sweet, lol

That's what I'm hearing too, I thought. With my cobb intake I get a great pshhhh. Unless they're talking about something else.

Adams description is the most accurate it sounds like a bird. And you can really hear the bpv opening and staying open when it's not supposed to. This is on the stock bpv not the turbosmart.

I know that it is on the stocker... Just asking for a better description on the sound as these cars make various different sounds from mod to mod, lol ;-). I will say that the staying open isn't an issue that I hear with mine. Of course from what I'm hearing this is an issue strictly with the electrically controlled stocker.

I hear the chirping constantly. Mine's a 2014. I couldn't ever figure out if it was the turbo (my initial suspicion) or if it was my shocks wearing out. Excited to see you working on a fix. Can't wait to see what an Tune+ tune feels like!

If these go into another production batch put me on the list. I've read this entire thread and feel it would be a must for this car on any level of madification. [coolsmile]
