The only reason I'd go S280 vs VT is Ron. Otherwise I love the fact that the VT330R is a record holding track turbo (which is what I want).

Speaking of Adam, do you like your tune?
I do, yes. The tunes have been great, I have no complaints. He's also been great to work with; always sends out tune revisions within 24-48 hours after I send him the data logs and is quick to answer any questions.

Awesome I'm planning on using him when the time comes. JST has been great with everything I can throw at the stock turbo, but I'd rather use Adam or Mitch (@CPE) for the big turbo stuff.

Couple questions about the SS-Tuning steering wheel since that’s on my next to buy. What’s the cost for your particular specs? How long was production and shipping?
The wheel is listed for €630 ($694 USD) on the SS-Tuning website, not including shipping.

I wasn't the original owner/purchaser of the wheel so unfortunately I don't have any more details for you. You might be able to find more info if you dig around on the forums or contact SS-Tuning on Facebook.

It's one of the top mods I've done, really a must for track days. It's nice to be able to apply power coming out of a turn and have traction.

Been watching GRID Life episodes and my last experience at the track with the big turbo has making me want the LSD for my next mod. I have around your power too since I don't have AUX yet.

LSD is on my list to install this winter - can't wait to feel the difference in snow along with corners of course.

Question for OP - how did you get a hold of SS tuning?? They're not responsive to my emails. Perhaps I'll have to call...

Yeah, they're pretty hard to get a hold of. I went online to purchase a shift knob with gaiter and they never responded. I contacted them on FB messenger once and that seems to work the best. It wasn't a very productive conversation, which was back in mid-June. They said they would send me an email but haven't done so as of yet.

I bought the wheel from someone local to me so I didn't go through actual buying process.

It makes the car so much more enjoyable on track. I wish I'd done it sooner.

I decided to revise my aux fuel wiring; changed the wire covering from split loom to sheathing so it matches the rest of the aux fuel controller harness. Smaller and cleaner.

Just noticed that the Versus diffuser is on your hit list - definitely find the funds for it if your track sessions can put you at 100mph or higher. I found the stability of the car greatly increased and it just feels planted. Back end doesn't want to 'float' when it's unsettled on bumps.

Great list of mods - are you satisfied with traction?

Right now, yes. I wouldn't mind having some wider tires but I will probably go full track slicks before trying to go wider wheels/tires for track use. I currently run Hankook RS4s in 225/50R15 and they have been really good so far. My next track tires will likely be Maxxis Victra RC1s. The nice thing about the RS4s is that I can drive with them installed to the track and back. The RC1s would have to be hauled/changed at the track since they're basically slicks.

Getting real world feedback has convinced me to get the diffuser sooner than later. Just ordered one from Ron!

It's one of those modifications which I truly believe there was 'seat of the pants instant feedback' as I've drive this particular road spiritedly before and didn't feel nearly as confident at speed. There weren't any moments of uneven pavement unsettling the car and thinking 'too fast too fast!'

Keen to hear what you think about it - I think the few that track their cars probably have a more established feel of how each exterior mod effects performance. This just opened my eyes to the aero side of the Fiesta which is lacking (when combined with my mods at least).

Canards and a full functioning splitter / undertray with ducts is this winters project (among the LSD...).

Did you install the OEM front wind tray? Any thoughts on it?

You're probably referring to the Orsen Shield. It's still processing through customs. It could be another 30+ days before I see it. Or it may not show up at all! If not, then I plan to go with an ADF Customs skid plate.

Did you order directly from Orsen? I emailed them months back and never got a response.

New Parts Installed
1) Radium Catch Can System w/drains
2) Mountune Front Splitter
3) Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser

Installation Notes
1) Radium Catch Can System - A high quality kit, everything fit as it was supposed to. I did run into a small issue with the crankcase catch can; the catch can inlet hose runs parallel with my aux fuel hose which makes for a tight fit. I ended up installing a 90 degree AN fitting off the catch can so the hose doesn't interfere with aux fuel line.

2) Mountune Front Spitter - I was impressed with the thickness of the fiberglass, a very sturdy piece. Install was easy and straight forward. I removed the splitter for the winter season.

3) Verus Rear Diffuser - Excellent build quality and hardware. I had to deviate from the recommended installation instructions for two reasons; 1) I have an Eibach rear sway bar installed and the front mounting bracket for the diffuser comes down right where the sway bar is positioned. I had to install spacers on the front mounting bracket for the diffuser to offset it enough to get around the sway bar. 2) My exhaust hangs down further than stock and most aftermarket systems which causes interference with the diffuser. I had to use all the spacers to in the kit to get it to clear the muffler. I also had to add spacers to the rear mounting brackets to offset them the same as I had to offset the front mounting bracket. If you check the Verus Engineering website you can see which exhausts have been confirmed to fit under the "Fitment" section. I didn't see that until after I had already purchased the diffuser.

Review
1) Radium Catch Can System - working great so far, really like the built-in dip stick to check the oil level. I opted for the drain kits as well for easy draining. The cans are not easily accessible without some disassembly so the drain kits are the only way to go. I also replaced all the rubber hoses with nylon braided AN hose and AN fittings similar to the Mountune UK kit.

2) Mountune Front Splitter - I did notice some light wear and tear on the surface from road/track debris but that was to be expected. I had this installed for my last track outing of the season and can't really say it helped with overall grip but it certainly didn't take away from it. Plus I think the cars looks way better with it installed. It has been removed for the winter season.

3) Verus Rear Diffuser - I had this installed for my final track day of the year. I didn't notice any major differences in grip compared to my last track day. I had my car up to 140mph on the straights and was faster everywhere (due to the addition of aux fuel) on track. Unfortunately, my results are inconclusive. Not to mention I had to deviate from the recommended installation instructions. I have removed the diffuser with no plans to re-install it.
