Just a quick warning for anyone running a Boomba valve.
They include an ECU controlled solenoid that feeds boost+vac to the bypass valve. In theory I guess this makes it open/close faster and less prone to surging/spiking during open/close. IDK, if there was a performance benefit I didn't notice it over my GFB
Anyways, my car recently had issues where the valve would get stuck open and car stopped building any boost past wastegate pressure.
The culprit? The solenoid had rusted and was no longer functioning (see photo). I had to pay $45 for a replacement. This was after about 3.5 years of install.
Just a warning, especially to those (like me) that have this valve and live in snowy/salt conditions
Its a good BPV and I personally love how "Chirpy" it is. But if I had to do it over again I'd go with a turbosmart unit
