I always wonder if I'd ever get to a point like that. I feel like I always need something to tinker with and I'll always be modding something.

Have you thought about selling the FiST and moving on to a new project?
The Fiesta is a special car, I'm not selling it, ever. That's the plan.

I do have a beater Prelude that I'm tinkering on, that scratches the itch.

I will be done with all my planned mods tomorrow (SS brake lines). I've spent more than $ 4900.00, that's about 15 car payments for me. Time to stop and enjoy just the ride !
That's where I'm at.

I don't think I will ever loose the moding bug.
However, I am retired now and out of money.
So. I am sure things will slow down.
I respect that!

I figure I'm into the 4k range also....Plus the Typhoon has been severely neglected for the past 4 years and needs to be driven more. I'll bet I've driven under 300 miles on it maybe even less in the past 4 years.

That seems low with all the stuff on your car, are you sure you're not double that?

We need to talk about this under 300 in 4 years...you have a problem! Sell me that thing!!!

Funny thing Jeff...is my Typhoon came from Nashville Georgia! I don't know if it will ever make it back!

I’ve been that way with my Tacoma for about nine years. I could update a few things but nothing would be an improvement for its purpose. Perhaps seats, but that’s only because they’re worn out after 10 years and a lot of miles in and out of the woods. I totally get it. I’ll say this, I look forward to researching tires when it comes time to replace them. I always end up with the same ones though haha. Cooper AT3. I’ve tried every AT/MT tire worth owning and they just can’t be beat.

What’s weird is I see guys in the beginning stages of a build similar to my truck and I want to tell them to take the $100k they’re about to drop and invest it haha. It’s cheaper to rent Sportsmobiles.. I wouldn’t trade my truck for anything though. Literally nothing. The truck, CJ8 and Fiesta are forever. Since my Fiesta is a track car, it’ll always be a work in progress build. I’m always looking for a late 80s early 90s car to play with too. Someday I’ll find something cool (to me).

If I ever feel as though "I'm done modding the fist" I'm going to get one of 3things...either a bike probly any of the cb family 2or3 of em, one of the 3 mid size trucks Nissan Toyota or a ranger so I can build a street/drift missile with with a 2j 1j rb or Ford's Barra online 6 ( I love the sounds that come from those motors) or sr20 or I'll get a resto mod be bus. I do have future plans for the fist such as a fully built bottom end with big turbo aux fuel with water/meth injection. Right now I just wanna keep as stock as possible maybe do a diy mod here or there rmm AP. I'm really happy with the way the car handles as is so maybe something to stiffen up the chassis a tiny bit. But all in all I'm really happy with the way it handles and feels as is.

I'm done. Other than some LEDs not listed below, it's all I want. I don't beat on it much, but I can if I want, and it's a hoot.

The bike needs some TLC, and better suspension for off-road. That will be the focus of my mod money for now.

I know what you mean, Jeff. The FiST doesn’t need a whole lot to be great to begin with. I felt similar to the way you do now about a year ago. For me, it was because of conviction. Conviction that my FiST was becoming an idol to me. At the very least- my mind was losing focus of where it should be (For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21).

My mod list: Whoosh intercooler (COBB size); BIGMOUTH w/drop-in; Stratified’s 91/93/E30 tunes; FSWERKS short shift; COBB RMM; Pierce Motorsport 2-point brace; pulsating brake light, and the Boomba adapter.

I even have Jason Dizzy’s 91, 93, and E30 custom tunes emailed to me, but I haven’t even opened, or downloaded them because my heart is just not in it anymore. I was going to compare Stratified’s tunes with Dizzy’s tunes but I never did install his tunes to my AP. That said, Jason was extremely nice and professional to work with.

I do have an older set of the stouter OEM springs (pre 2017) that I got from, koozy. I still plan on installing them whenever I have the time, but other than that- I’m done.

If anyone is interested in the Dizzy tunes (91, 93, and E30 for stage 2), I’ll give them away, if that’s even possible.

For the past week or so I had thoughts about moving on to a 5.0 Coyote. After looking into insurance, then totaling up everything spent thus far on the FiST at around $5900, I regained my sanity. Yeah, I know I probably could've saved some dough buying 2nd hand parts on here & def paid too much for the clear-bra, but oh well:rolleyes: Can't imagine what I'd have into it if I'd paid labor costs for everything else:eek: I'm thinking another couple G's for suspension and appearance mods this fall...…..then I'll be done:unsure:
