How much is a compressor? I ran an AC delete kit but I didn't care about the lines. Are you removing everything or is this just a cheap fix until you repair it?

i am gonna drive the car in between saving enough money for a good compressor, drier, valve. also a flush and a proper charge. cheap ass compressors do not justify the cost of the rest of the parts and a proper charge. jmho. lol.

For future reference, one way you can keep your A/C compressor healthy over the winter is to run it once a week or so for 10 minutes. The reason is that there is a lubricant in the refrigerant. Running it will circulate this through and help keep the seals from drying out, which can happen if it isn't used for a long time over the winter.
There could be plenty of reasons besides this that yours seized up, but this is a good preventive maintenance thing in general to do to keep your compressor healthy.
You don't have to freeze yourself to death running the A/C in the winter, you can have the temperature on a warm setting, just push in the A/C button to activate the compressor.
