Hybrid is in
Software loaded
Cad is feeling like another beast. It’s demonic. The spool. The flutter. The burble. It’s perfect. It’s monstrous. I’m flabbergasted. Definitely need to install my EBC yellow stuff though, stock brakes aren’t cutting it.

This weeks jobs;
Install stage 3 cooler
Install oil cooler
Install oil temp and pressure gauges
Oil catch can on intake side
New spark plugs gapped
Boomba throttle body spacer

Saturday: logging again and dyno run

Not alot of info on that turbo. Never heard of them before. Do you have any specs on it?
https://www.karter.co.za/product/ford-fiesta-st180-200-kr255-hybrid-turbocharger/

The yellow stuff brakes a good, but doesn't have the initial bite the OE pads have. But they, from my experience build up more than OE.
Yeah, they haven’t released specs due to the risk of competition copying them. A lot of local places buy the X47/X47R and then copy it at turbo reconditioning places or engineers. So I do not have any info on the technicals of the turbo.

So the turbo is in, software loaded etc etc.

Car is boosting 1.9 bar when it’s meant to boost 1.7, the actuator was preloaded too much so need to loosen it.

Car has 1 or 2 miss fires at the top end of 3rd and 4th.

Car also has engine light due to code P0039 and I think it also threw P0017.

I’m gonna loosen the actuator this weekend and throw in new plugs. Timing belt was done a little over a year ago so can’t be the belt. Any experience here? What could be the cause?

Mercedes Mclaren SLR carbon fiber bucket seat will
Hopefully be going in next week. Picking up a set of what I believe to be sparco sliders that will Hopefully fit the seat and the car. Then it’s off to be upholstered. Can’t believe I got a genuine mclaren carbon bucket seat. Mind blowing. Paid 1500ZAR for , what’s that like 90$USD? Has genuine part number and the likes

Damn! What a busy last week…
Where do I start?
Bought sheet metal (1.5mm thick 610mmx1220mm x2 sheets) to build a “flat floor”/skid plate/underside engine cover/tray what have you.

Fabricated my own torque gusset and front trac bar combo based off of TB performances website as well as the rear axle torsion bar and center I brace. Just need to make stop strut for the engine bay and the cross member brace then it’s onto experimenting making my own rear camber plates. With the South African currency, exchange rate, customs and shipping it simply isn’t worth importing. So that’s suspension done.

Upgraded to some LED head lights bulbs

Front fog light delete in progress. Replacing with halos. Then using the center of the halo as a ducting port to allow some cooling for the brakes along with some ducting. Set my brand new EBC yellow stuff pads on fire racing a hybrid turbo polo GTI lmao

Rear fog lights removed. Matching grill to rear diffuser sourced. Venting the rear tire wells to them to release negative pressure in the rear wells.

Stock side skirt refitted as it was falling off. Maxton side skirt alignment fixed as they were angling upwards.

Rear f1 style flashing brake light / fog light installed.

RGB Bluetooth under glow installed all round the car.

Blue border stitched on front mats. White ST logo on them too.

Alcantara arm rests, center arm rest and shift boot done and installed.

Mirror arms painted gloss black to get rid of the faded plastic look.

ST150 center cape (super duper rare) finally sourced and bought, just need the pearl paint

Black wire sprag in engine bay removed and replaced with blue wire sprag / corrugated wire cover.

New tuner lug nuts installed, plain black. Steel, not aluminium

Boot backboard made and installed with my nickname on a pasted on it.

New boot back board / parcel tray being made. Better routering on the edges and neater ST logo. Perspex below the ST logo so the blue strip lights up the whole ST logo in the boot

Carbon mirror hoods / mirror extenders made.
Carbon penny hole / useless hole cover made
Carbon covers made for windows by side mirrors
ST stickers installed on brake calipers
ST stickers installed on diffuser fins

New exhaust mount installed to fix rattling issue

Mmmm… have I missed anything?

Busy with the following:
Interior RGB strips that can be on while driving.
Changing the ambient lighting to blue
RGB crevis / EL wire
Kill switch being added
Battery cut off being added
Changing the red ST logos embroidered on the recaros to white
Magnetic front plate
Wrapping the interior trim by the windows gloss black

Custom fiber glass subwoofer and amp display in the boot (on either side so as to be symmetrical so that I can do a hard line nos setup in 2023, need to be the fastest ST in SA)

Carbon front fender inlays like the gel ones
Airtec logo on the cooler
In the process of putting rivnuts in the engine bay to get rid of the useless plastic clips.

Also gonna see if I can wrap my roof gloss black this weekend.

First show is next Saturday and exam week is next week, EEK! Welp! And I just started a new company last week to fund the car…

Also the mclaren seat is getting quotes for upholstery
