Stratified Flash Tune Review

Ok this is what I'm talking about when I say bad throttle response. Notice how I say "go" and I floor the pedal, but it takes a good second before it does ANYTHING. Why is this? It's even a little noticeable on each gear change.

Seems totally normal to me, you were going wot at 2200? Your turbo is just taking time
To fully spool that's all.

The lost of boost in between shifts is the bpv imo

Can someone run me up to speed on this tune and what it does over the Cobb tunes? What type of gains can you expect from this tune coming from a bone stock car running 94 octane ?

Get it, period.

This over the Cobb is , better. Drivability is better, depending on you're gas, more powerful. Plus the price is[emoji1419]

If you read a couple pages, the reviews would sell u on it, I had the first version, its come a long long way:)

I wish somebody would make screws that let that work with the boomba bypass valve plate. I much prefer a more audible noise personally.

Is that wtf is causing a delay in between shifts for me?? My car is bone stock and I can tell a difference when I am shifting gears quickly at a high rpm.

It is not a night and day difference over Cobb in terms of power but it is definetly better in terms of drive ability. Partial throttle response is a lot better and the power comes on smoother.

I've had the v2 flash tune and now the v3. The v3 makes more power than the Cobb stage 1 and the v2 flash tune from stratified. With the same driveability. My car is stock except for the flash tune and honestly for me the car is fast enough. I'm going to get an intercooler and update the flash tune anyway though.

No fire cause of oem downpipe

Just driving back and forth trying to hear the popping from a pedestrian's POV.

Ok Ive loaded the tune. I think the traction control really hurts the performance. Once I turned it off then the tune came alive. It has more power for sure. Once you add the trac control it feels lasy in 1st and second gear. I have it on 7 now and it still really gets involved to much. If you try to come out of a corner in second gear it just feels slow. On mode 8 its just like turning it off not sure why that's even there. Looks to pull up to 30degs and really wont let it slip at all in any of the modes. I do notice that each mode pulls less timing but really doesn't let it slip more before doing so. I need to give it some more time and get used to it. I don't like how the pedal feel in first is. Its to eager now im at like 1/4 throttle and its already at redline. Im going to give it a couple more days and see if I can get used to it. Then I will see what Stratified can change and what I want changed. Im sure the trac control needs to be set to off on first start It really isn't what I thought it would be. Im not knocking Stratified this is a great tune with the trac off way better than the cobb tune, I didn't notice any real gain from it.

Did you get the Stratified Traction Control or just the standard Cobb one? Idk if all the stratified tunes come with the Stratified traction control or not that's why I'm asking. When I only had the standard strength Cobb TC, I felt the same way you feel. But now that I upgraded to the tuneable Stratified TC, I leave it on mode 1 and I like it a lot more now.

When I only had the standard strength Cobb TC, I felt the same way you feel. But now that I upgraded to the tuneable Stratified TC, I leave it on mode 1 and I like it a lot more now.
I have the stratfield, with 8 modes. I think that's theres??? If I have it on mode one it feels like the normal factory trac control. If I really try to make it spin it will pull 30degs of timing out. If the wheel slips just a little its already pulling 10 to 15 degs. If I turn it off the car runs great. Well except for the crazy first gear lol.


I can tell a slight difference from each mode but not how much it slip but how aggressive it pulles timming.

Can someone explain what pulling timing does. I know what ignition timing is to an extent but I don't understand what pulling timing means. Does the spark plug fire when the piston is closer to the top of the cylinder or when it's farther away?

If your engine is reducing the ignition advance (pulling timing), you will be losing power. Too much advance is destructive to the engine (detonation). Our engines are equipped with "knock sensors" that can detect detonation, and the ecu can take steps (reducing boost or pulling timing) to save the engine from damage. Running too low an octane fuel will activate the knock sensors and cause the ecu to take whatever steps are programmed. Our cars are designed for a minimum of 87 or 94 octane... more if they are modified. Here in Canada , the best you can normally get is 94. Bleech
