Considering Fiesta ST and leaving WRX

Boost on the stock tune is intentionally lowered to help mitigate torque steer. Once you get an accessport that will be taken care of. I came from a fully built 05 Subaru Legacy GT. Sti Block with Nitrited crank, Cosworth pistons. Arp studs, Carillo Rods, BC cams, BNR HT68 with billet turbine, AEM meth kit etc... I had it tuned at Efi Logics. I miss that car, but my FiST is a ton of fun, especially with upgrad d turbo. Never thought I would go FWD after the owning AWD and RWD cars, but this little car is a hoot, especially when you hand someone their breakfast in this little thing. Turn in is the best of any car I've driven. Get the Recaros of you fit, theyre great.

Holy crap. That sucker was built. The model I looked at is fully loaded with leather Recaro seats. I've been thinking of it since I drove it. It's like the car is stuck in my head. I was looking at the mount tune package to keep warranty.

I know as a fact it snows like crazy there lol. I have 18" blizzaks in my garage, but I don't think I'll be able to sell the and get 17 before winter sets in here.

I would recommend not going bigger especially with winter tires. I went down to 185/60R15 with the General Altimax Arctic.

You'll find yourself looking for places to drive it. I bought mine brand new in May, already passed 13k miles. I've found plenty of new backroads to get home from work!

I was looking at the Mountune package to keep warranty.

You asked in an earlier post about tuning at a Ford dealer, and the company you've mentioned above is about the closest to a dealer tune as one can get (and yes, keep the warranty IF you go with the MP215 package).

But, know that even though you get a Cobb AP in that package it is only good for, or will only accept Mountune's tunes, and NOT any other tuner's maps out there.

That's probably the only tune I'd run then. I run MAPerformance etune on my WRX now and it's pretty amazing. If mountune has a good etune, I'm all about it.

Got rid of my 2012 WRX for my ST. Much more fun driving experience in the ST, not worried about Ringland, and don't have the electrical gremlins. Can't speak for snow performance since I live in Southern California but I would make the switch again. The o my thing I miss about the WRX is that boxer engine noise and the resale value

My 2013 WRX spun a bearing after only owning it a year and my 2016 is pretty good. The FA20 has its limits. The rods are very weak. Won't handle over 350hp/375 ft lbs torque. I'm not spending 6-10k on new block and internals of something ever happens out of warranty. Ringlamnds have always scared me in these cars. From what I've researched, fiesta st is used in rally car races in the snow. That's pretty damn impressive.

Just to be clear, the 1.6L ecoboost in fiesta st has forged internals and the focus 2.0 does not? That alone is worth the trade in for me.

I probably would have been less fearful of ringland had I put an oil catch can on from the get go. The other thing that really got on my nerves was the brake pedal switch fault that would light up my dashboard with warning lights.

Absolutely everything that I've read and watched on YouTube all point to it being a badass little car. Track, daily, snow etc. I called my sales guy just to make sure the car is still there. Thursday seems so far away. I want my FiST

Ironically, my C6 driving brother (who is even MORE anti-import nameplate than I am) actually suggested a WRX for me over the FiST, knowing how into AWD/rally I am, but somehow he was thinking they could be had for UNDER $24K OUT THE DOOR.

The final nail in the coffin of that idea for me though was the fact that Toyota owns most of Scoobie now, and I DESPISE the Nippon Giant as a company.

Keep it stock looking, and add a full on, tuned, DHM big turbo kit and a limited slip diff and sticky tires.

That would shock quite a few much more costly imports you would come up against.
