hows that open air filter work in the slop ? do they make a water sock for it like i have seen on other things that use this type filter with no box around it ? i know i had one for my CAI on my RSX as it drew air from behind the fog lamp on drivers side ...

The only way water could get in is from under the elbow I might look into some kind of sock like this one or a "sponge" that fits between the filter and the piping

Any toughts on injen hydroshield or aem dryflow wrap ???

I think i used the Injen as that was the CAI i had but i have used other no name brands for our snowmobiles when we used to have them and they all seemed to work well as long and they keep water out and let air in they are good Get a color you like

No thread! It was part of the deal when i bought it...since they are conpletely useless here in quebec... Sign for it on a thursday and took delivery the friday and it was all fixed and debadged

Now I need it... Did you get it from the FSW website directly? If so, did you use UPS or USPS? Any import fees/taxes I have to worry about?
