One thing I did do is get the upgraded hangers, the OEM ones are damn soft. It does help limit any exhaust movement.

Didn't think about that. Yeah I have the upgraded hangers as well which might help.

Plus, I have the Cobb RMM which settles any engine movement down a bit. Probably takes some stress off the short piece from the DP to resonator.

Witch one is stiffer?

The revo is smoother feeling. I don't notice it all. The cobb was a little harsher but I don't know that one is stiffer than the other. I don't feel like the drivability is worse with the revo, feels better actually since there is no NVH.

I had a cp-e and was too much for me. Bought the awr in 70 and sold the cp-e. For daily driving the awr is more comfortable.

I see clamps that are exactly like that being thrown away at my Job all the time...ill bet that they are perfectly fine though. Cummins...Gillig....New flyer use them a lot in their applications for diesels.

Cool, how much was labor to put it on and did they tig weld it or just mig it? If I get the Thermal, I'll just be making a slip fit connection and using a high quality lap joint band clamp seal. It would take a catastrophe to make it come off or loose.

$60, mig. I couldn't find a place close enough to tig weld and this shop has been helping me so they know what's been going on.

I'm getting ready to email thermal now that it's done and update them with my issues.

Well I verified that the Clamp bolts wont except 140ft. Lbs of Torque. Broke a bolt...need a new clamp....more like 100ft. Lbs.

I'm still waiting on hearing back from Thermal about a replacement clamp....I'm off tomorrow and will call them as I wrote them last week and still no response about the clamp replacement I need. Well tomorrow looks like it will be Aero day....so at least I'll get that accomplished and check the clamps again for loosening.

Sounds exactly like what was / maybe is, going on with my CPE nexus setup. Slip joints and single bolt clamps suck eggs. My current fix for my issue was to get a two bolt slip joint clamp from summit. If it comes loose again even with two bolts on a wide ass clamp tightened with an impact then its for sure v band time.

Since this was brought back up, exhaust hasn't moved since the vband but I do have an exhaust leak now. Mainly noticeable on cold starts and it sounds like an old vw beetle on decel. Once it's warm, no issues. I'm gonna get under and check the vband, but I'm about ready to buy a cobb exhaust for the bolt on flange connections.
