Yep, good idea not to let ethanol sit too long but at the same time you'll WANT to find reasons to go out and drive more, completely transforms the car! :)
Lol! Totally agree! Need to get over the overprotective stage as it's been almost a year and a half since purchase and only put about 4500 on her:sneaky: Never seen rain, but that's not a hard one to pull off where I'm at.

Hmmm, serious food for thought. Much appreciated Dan! I guess I'll go ahead order a 91 and E30 from Jason when I get back from my vacation at the end of the month. Most likely just run a 91 tune until I decide to make the FiST my daily. Currently I'm only running thru 1 tank a month and I'd rather not have E30 sitting in my tank for so long. With your account and all the other positive reviews of E30, I know it'll be well worth it:cool:

The thing I disliked about the Cobb in particular was that all the torque was down low and died off fast, almost the opposite of this one.

His stages basically mean whether or not your intercooler has been upgraded. Stage 1 is stock intercooler and stage 2 is upgraded intercooler. Either one allows for 25 psi of boost but I think stage two is more aggressive due to the better cooling.

His description states that most mods make negligible difference for the flash tunes, and you get a free data log review so you can make sure your engine is running well on the tune you choose.

Yeah, exactly how @Spork1569 said, his only 2 stages are with stock IC and without but max boost is set for 24.75 on pump and 26.5 on e30... but without going too deep into it, there's a lot more to it than just boost, the more added timing there is, the more power and added heat there is too. I'm making about just as much power on Tim's ethanol tune at 25 psi than I am on Jason's at 26.5 psi. But you can't tell by just positive corrections either, you have to know how the base maps are set too. And true that most bolt on's make very little additional power, it's 95%+ the IC upgrade that lets you tune more aggressively, but intakes do add a little power while exhaust absolutely none, I know I focused on a DV upgrade, step colder plugs and a hotside pipe and that's it other than a bit of intake mods... But Jason does take a list of all your mods too, to see if he can tweak his tune just a bit up front. You don't get any revisions, just a one-time safety check with the low price flash tune, if you want more power then you have to pay for a custom tune.

It's all crystal now. I have the same set up you described, so Dizzy Stage 2 91 it will be! Thanks again for taking time helping me out buddy!

Looks like you are "grandfathered" in on the old signature rules, now you only get like 4 total lines, if you try to change it will tell you you have too many lines now, hehe...

Curious if any Canadians especially on the west coast are running Dizzy? I'd like to compare a Strat tune I have as they are quite good with the specific fuel we have out here.

I am working on a 93 tune with Randy from Mountune that comes with the FB1 package (with a cp-e intercooler). Compared to stock (and Cobb stage 1 93), it's a huge improvement. And Cobb stage 1 was much better than stock (except it surged quite a lot at steady throttle in low gears). The thing that's most amazing to me is that my gas mileage improved, despite the fact that I've been driving it hard. Stock, the fuel light would come on at about 290 miles on a full tank with mixed, gentle driving. Working my way through two revisions, and giving it the beans a lot more frequently than usual, the low fuel warning light came on at 300 on this tank.
I also am running a Mountune 93 street tune with a basically stock set up and even still notice a HUGE difference. The small boost increase is definitely a plus.

Next spring, after I spend some bonus money on exhaust and intake (mostly for noise), I'll go back for some revisions and possibly an e30 tune.

Solid! I am considering an E30 tune myself. I have been doing some studying up on who to go with but I had a pretty good experience with Randy and will most likely stick with Mountune.

Basically additional timing advancement... just as important as actual boost, it's good to dial in how much timing advancement you can get along with boost levels to help meet your max safe power levels, timing especially can help with low end responsiveness and midrange. He can keep going until you hit a tiny knock with no negative correction and back it off a touch and call it good, there really isn't a "margin" there, you are either good or not so it's good to determine your limit so it doesn't need to be determined later. Intake and exhaust don't need really need additional revisions unless you also do an inlet then you may be able to avoid such a massive dropoff after 5500 RPM with some added timing up top with the additional flow to handle it, otherwise an intake will just get you a touch more power (around 5hp/10tq, depending which one) and exhaust is literally for just sound on a stock turbo and even ona hybrid, only as much gains as an intake on a stock turbo.

Been running my Dizzy E30 tune for a few days and I am absolutely in love with it. Power is smooth and manageable with minimal wheelspin (maybe a tiny bit in second and third) but the difference in torque is crazy. Besides pulling harder, the car feels more eager to get up and go. Plus Jason is a great guy and went above and beyond with my requests for the tune, even with a crazy discount he offers from time to time. I couldn't recommend him and his tunes any higher!
