Hey. I'm sort of new here but was wondering of this cars at high mileage what to look out for. I have about 166000 kms on my 2015 and I would like to get another couple years out of it. Does anyone know what common things break on higher mileage? Or what the highest recorded mileage is on a FiSt

Nothing notable, really. Clutch seems to go for 140k miles. Carbon buildup exists but doesn't seem to cause any issues well beyond 100k miles. There was one found for sale in Washington with 197k miles, and there's allegedly a forum member here that was pushing 300k (haven't seen the posts myself, though). Beyond the usual wear and tear items and routine maintenance, there doesn't seem to be any major concerns as miles pile up. If there's something specific you're concerned about, you can likely find it by searching the forum.

This engine/transmission is used in a lot of Ford vehicles. Doesn't seem to have any big issues.

I’m at 75k miles. So far no issues other than a leaking axle that got replaced last week.

I would change out the timing, and serpentine belts at that mileage, as a precaution, if you have not already.
Full brake fluid flush is a good idea also if not yet done.

Also consider new OEM/Conti coolant hoses as well, if they seem bloated, or mushy.

At some point, I’ll tell you how much boost it won’t handle. I’m looking for highest recorded ”smileage“

The cars have generally proven to be quite reliable. There was one member on here who had about 185,000 miles on his a couple years ago, and he reported that he had no problems at all with the car.
The engines were used virtually stock in the Formula Ford racing series, which gave me a good feeling about their durability if they can stand up to the demands of racing.
I hope they don't rust out, that's what happened to the Capri which was the first performance Ford I had a long time ago, and which is the source of my forum name.

There is a guy in one of the facebook groups who is on his second FiST. First one was well over 200k miles, and I believe he was in a car accident which is what caused him to get another car. Second FiST was approaching 300k when a mechanical failure took him out. So, this one guy has about half a million combined miles on his cars. And IIRC, his cars were tuned with Cobb's OTS maps.

Wow, Cobb should use him as a testimonial on their site.
