Mine has been fine. I’ve put a few hundred constant shifting city miles on it too.

So i haven’t been happy with the tightness of the coolerworx going into gears. Finally had a nice day and pulled the battery out to adjust the shifter cable linkage. I wasn’t expecting it to do anything but i was wrong, it’s perfect now, super smooth. So i recommend doing that if you havne’t yet. I can’t remember if i adjusted it back when i first got the car and installed the mountune quick shift but either way it’s exactly as good as everyone else has described it.

Side note, nobody mentioned how much of a pain in the ass it was going to be to get the shifter/hvac trim back on. I may have dinged up the dash a little bit. Not happy with myself there but wow that was the hardest part of the entire install. Hopefully i can rub the marks out, at least they are on the top of the hvac controls under the little lip of the dash, so they aren’t too noticeable. She ain’t no beauty queen.

I’m glad you mentioned the trim. On my first attempt it was quick and perfect. Unfortunately I f’d it up when I removed it to wire up the Dizzy gauge. It’s definitely a tight fit.

Looks great ! Been wanting to switch the knob also but feel like the shifter will fall apart quicker- I know thats stupid and doesn't make sense, but feel like its just a matter of time

Popped this Raceseng knob on today. The extra weight over the Cobb knob really smooths out the shifts on the Coolerworx. Time will tell if I continue to like it but so far it's amazing.

I don’t know why it would but definitely your call. I couldn’t stand the feel of the coolerworx knob. I’m a round knob kinda guy. I was using a Cobb knob, which has been my favorite for years on many different cars.

I usually remove the pax seat... four bolts and a connector. Lot nicer to access perhaps, but certainly not required. Just place the seat to the middle track position and hold it by the front inside track in one hand, back of the seat with other, to guide and avoid scratching the dash or glove box or door.

I’ve had the seats out before. This was specific to reinstalling the hvac/shifter trim over the coolerworx. It’s a much tighter fit. Plus the wires for the heated seat and traction control switches are on the short side. If those were a couple inches longer I don’t think i would have had any issues. I personally scratched the dash on the top of the hvac trim under the radio area. Luckily it isn’t very noticeable. Having the seat out wouldn’t have helped but it would help during install of the shifter. I didn’t remove the seats when i installed my shifter, only because i don’t have a garage and it was only about 33 degrees out that day. I should have waited for a warmer day but staring at the shifter for months on the shelf got the best of me.

So I made a shift boot out of a spare one we had laying around. I hate it. I'm taking it off lol. Covering this beast up is sacrilege, plus i wont be able to adjust it on the fly without removing the center console.

Maybe Redline could make you a custom jobber with a zipper or buttons for easy access. Keep the dust out when you are munching on french fries, zip off the cover when you are racing or have guests.

Edit: I could envision riveting 6 to 8 buttons in the plastic around the shifter. The leather cover would just snap onto these to hold it down.

current direct from Coolerworx 689+30 ship in euros = $830 USD
our original price was $899 shipped
been on sale for $749.99 shipped plus the forum discount takes it to $712.50
not much left meat left on the bone honestly

We can however Advertise at $899 with a huge sale showing $150 off the $899 retail price
Sorry for the long explanation, we set our prices to everday lowest possible. I don't make 30-50% margin all year to discount 10-20% on sale days which is why I don't run a sale at every holiday like some of the other stores
