Sooooo I want a carbon fiber hood, and I'll do carbon fiber fenders/front bumper too if someone wants to make them. I'd like to see a vendor step up and produce a carbon fiber hood with twin vents like the mustang gt hood and vents on the fenders as well for airflow and an aggressive look. I'm also hoping the hood/fender/bumper combo could shave upwards of 150->200 lbs which for us who like their back seats would take us down to around 2,500 lbs. 320 fwhp and 2,500lbs would make a great combo but it seems no one but icenine has even said a word about carbon fiber and I haven't heard anything yet.

I've inquired with seibon, carbon by design, vis, and one other. Seibon was the only one who replied and they said they need 25 orders to make it happen but they are already behind on projects so it will be awhile

Ice Nine was in the process of making them last year but I have no idea what the status is. Maybe Rodmoe or one of us should contact them again. I know we definitely have enough interest now that the FiST is selling well.

I would definitely be interested in this too. Does anyone know if the 2015 Fiesta RS hood would fit, it looks like the same shape as what we currently have. I would like either one so hopefully someone has been developing something.

Id like to see a Carbon Rear Diffuser and Interior parts also. Is there any chance at having a Group Buy for any of these parts?

Oh nice!! Let's see it!!!

Also, I think you would get a lot of buyers if we could get some type of gauge cluster...

As you can see we are not big fans of stuff that doesn't work or has a function. I am old enough to have had to suffer through the awful 80's styling. The only reason we haven't really pushed the issue with the diffuser is our little ST's really are not fast enough to fully benefit from one. That being said, our car is really getting a bit of an attitude, losing weight and gaining power. (2400lbs/300+hp) so maybe now is the time for it...

What do you guys think of the stance?

Right now the car has the standard turbo but will be getting bigger soon..

We are planning on offering a set of pins with the hood, a captive style.

One thing I need to make clear about our parts is that they are 100% Made in the USA. The design work happens in our shop in Clinton Twp, Mi, the carbon is made here and the manufacturing is done in Michigan as well. I was asked to quote a job today that would see the production head over to China and it made me rethink my quote for the design time. It will cost us more to make the parts here and if I can keep the jobs here in the US and especially in the Metro Detroit area I'm ok with that....

These cars are plenty fast on a track to use a diffuser but there is not room for a really big and effective one but it would help if fully optimized, far better than the rear air trap it now has.

I have built some very serious diffusers, cutting out the tire well, etc......but using it on this car for various things besides carrying a spare tire.

I am probably going to just sand off the back grill on the inside to open up the grids and let as much air out as I can.

While at it I will clean up whatever possible, I just took a look, there is some room for improvement.

---------------------------------

If you do a diffuser just delete the painted and upper stock sessions, seal off from getting on the leading edge, make the strakes as low as reasonable on a street car....might still not be a huge benefit but it has to better than the stock setup!

The stock hood is not that heavy but if we could get a lower weight hood with some proper ventilation, which aids in cooling and downforce, we would have 3 benefits from one mod and far more worth the cost to get one made well.

-----------------
I have not looked at the side skirts to much, yet, so not sure what we can gain there.

-----------------

A properly build splitter, at least modeled if not real wind tunnel tested, and rear wing extensions or for those more bold, a new rear wing, done right, could help:)
