Hey SoCal, I think im still roughly 10k miles away, but does anyone know of any shop that is or has done timing belt/water pump/ and I guess thermostat (major service type work) for our platform in OC ? Willing to go into LA, but would be cool if they were local. I'd like to stay away from the dealer but only because I have a bad history with dealership service with cars I own. If this were a lease I wouldn't care, but since I'm keeping it id rather not go to a dealer. Any recommendations and experience would be cool, thank you !

bumping to the top here to see if anyone has any feedback. It is definitely time for the timing belt now, and wondered which steal/ dealership lol they've worked with to get that service done. Looking for more Orange County, but willing to drive if service was great and be nice to find an honest place. Thanks.

In Anaheim. They can help you with your needs. They’ve installed limited slip diffs and other parts for members here.
Hey thanks for the reply I called them last year and asked them about the timing belt/water pump and at the time they said they didn't. Called today, and they said the same and it hasn't changed. Diff/clutch/flywheel absolutely, just not that major maintenance. Thanks again for the reply, Ive had this question out for over a year (not just here) and everyone's response is just the dealer. I just broke 105k and wanted to plan out funding lol

I work in parts at Santa Margarita Ford in RSM. We have a great heavy line tech here. He’s a buddy of mine. I could probably help out on parts pricing but labor might be a little spendy. We might be able to price match though.

Your dealership has done the service already ? If so, RSM isn't too too far from me and id be willing to go there. I just wanted to make sure wherever I went had done it a few times already. While you hear about high mileage, haven't heard many stories from fellow owners in southern cal I just assumed no one has crossed the 120k OR do it themselves. (it just occurred to me what you may be communicating - ill pm you lol)

Good to know 👍
Yeah, I’d want to find a competent dealership or shop who’s done it.

another shop that comes to mind is Antspec in Fountain Valley, they were Cobb SoCal before. https://www.antspec.net/

Following up to this post. I found out that FSWERKS might now be doing this service. I am going to inquire this upcoming business week, but wondered to bump this up and see if any one can confirm earlier. I just placed mine on non-op and of course my battery is now seized on the post because I forgot to disconnect it after being unused for nearly a year - but anyway, still good news to find someone local to potentially do this service.

UPDATE to this post - just got quite a few things done at Fswerks, including timing belt/wp and some associated parts while there - they did a really great job. From communication, estimates, to the actual work. I had forgotten how fun this car is. Highly recommend to give that team a call if you need this work done.

Ya I just had a timing belt service @FSwerks as well as they put in the Mountune CSF radiator and my car had the Mishimoto cold side pipe and Vic trimmed my fan shroud so it would fit! He could have easily said it won’t fit but went out of his way to get the job done right.
