Driver window switch - rear window control inconsistent

All - before I buy a new switch, hoping it’s something easy…

When rolling down the rear windows using the driver switches, both go down fine, but when trying to roll them up, the rear driver will sometimes go up while the rear passenger won‘t. The rear passenger used to occasionally go back up but now never does. However if I use the switches on the rear windows themselves everything works fine. So I believe it’s an issue with the driver switch. I pulled it and didn’t see anything unusual but I’m also not sure what I would have been looking for.

Thanks in advance!

Old thread, but my car has the same problem. I can roll the rear passenger window down, but not up, from the driver door switch. Anyone else have this problem?

I had the passenger switch start to intermittently work while the driver side could control it no problem. Replacing the passenger switch fixed it. Different assembly I know but same issue. The switches seem to go bad sometimes and ford actually has revised versions when you look up the part number.

I know on Hondas you can take the switch apart and clean the contacts which usually fixes the issue. Not sure on the fords they seem more....disposable.

My front right switch went out a few years ago and I replaced it. Just weird that I can't control my rear right from the driver door, and someone else had the same problem. I rarely drive the car, so maybe the switch contacts get gummed up after a while if the car sits too long.
